APE on IIS7 App. Pool w./ No Managed Code & in Classic Mode
I need to get APE enabled on a IIS7 site, running on a application pool with "No Managed Code" (no .NET Framework) & in "Classic" mode (not Integrated).
APE, however, still needs to be enabled on the IIS7 server (root node).
When opening the .htaccess file of that HTML-only website, I get 2 warnings :
1. This application works in the Application Pool running not in Integrated Mode
2. Wildcard mapping to ASP.NET is not configured for this application
Both messages seem to indicate that I should configure my site for .NET, which I don't really want to do, unless my site needs it (which it doesn't in this particular case).
Is there any possible way to get APE working for non-.NET configured websites & application pools ?

Re: APE on IIS7 App. Pool w./ No Managed Code & in Classic M
Hello,
As Ape is written using .NET, it does require .NET to be installed.
When you choose the app pool mode, keep in mind:
1. Integrated mode is native for IIS 7
2. Classic requires a small fix with Wildcard mapping to ASP.NET
If you really need to do without .NET, consider opting for ISAPI_Rewrite instead of Ape.
