Changes to .htaccess having no effect
Hi,
I've downloaded a trial version of ISAPI rewrite 3.
I've used the conversion tool to make changes to and old ISAPI rewrite 2 .ini file and have created a .htaccess file from this.
The problem that I'm having is a strange one. All of the URLs seem to work, but whenever I make a change to my .htaccess file it doesn't seem to register.
Reading through the Help file I'm reading
"All configuration files are reloaded automatically every time the file is changed."
This is the behavior I was expecting -as with ISAPI rewrite 2.
Any idea as to where I am going wrong? Is there a cached version of the file somewhere? Do I need to get a full license?
Any help, much appreciated,
Cheers
Matt

Hello Matt,
>All of the URLs seem to work, but whenever I make a change to my .htaccess file it doesn't seem to register.
Please make sure you have "List folder content" permissions granted to the folder containing the config file.
If it doesn't help, enable logging in httpd.conf by putting
LogLevel 9
and check error.log for possible related messages.

Re: Changes to .htaccess having no effect
Hi Anton,
[10/09/2015 14:17:50] C:\Program Files\Helicon\ISAPI_Rewrite3\httpd.conf - Loaded successfully
[10/09/2015 14:17:50] c:\inetpub\wwwroot\sitename.com\.htaccess - Loaded successfully
All looks OK.
I think the problem that I was having was either down to the naming of my .htaccess -I'd called it site.htaccess, or down to the fact that when I'd converted my old site level httpd.ini, I'd inadvertently copied all the rules into the httpd.conf as well!
Thanks for the pointers,
Matt
