Development license for Helicon Ape?
Hi all
I was looking at the order page for Helicon Ape and there doesn't seem to be a license for development purposes. I was wondering, outside of what's listed on that page, if this in fact that case ( that there isn't a dev license for this product. )

Re: Development license for Helicon Ape?
Yeah it's supposed to allow you to register up to 3 sites for local use for development purposes but when you install it, it puts that license on the first site (which for my local machine, isn't one that I use Helicon on) and I've never figured out how to get it to put the free license on any other sites.
For that reason and the issues it causes for having new developers set up with the tool and what appears to be a lack of support any more, we've been moving our sites to URL Rewrite in IIS. It can use external files with all your rules so is a lot closer to htaccess, although way more verbose and requires a restart of IIS for new rules to take effect.
