Site stops responding under heavy load

I'm using Helicon Zoo Redmine stack. When under heavy load, the number of active requests builds up. These requests never get cleared, even when the load falls off, and the site stops responding. It was working fine until the server was moved onto a virtual machine.

Any ideas on how to solve this would be welcome.

Hello,

please update to the latest version of Zoo.
Then Show your Windows application log, ZooError.log in the site folder (better send it to [email protected]).
And clarify which load for your site is considered high (requests per second).
