Tomcat Hosting Package + Railo 4
Hi all,
I've installed the Tomcat Hosting Package alongside Railo 4. Whenever I install the "Railo 4 Tomcat Project", I always have to manually update C:\railo4\tomcat\conf\server.xml with the new site, otherwise I always hit C:\railo4\tomcat\webapps\ROOT\.
Is there a way around this? I was under the impression that the Railo 4 Tomcat Project would do all of this for me. IIS site is created, files are created in the specified webroot, but just not server.xml. I'm wondering what else I have to tweak behind the scenes.
I'm fine with adding to the xml file but I really wanted to remove the possibility of human error when creating a new site.
Cheers.

Hello!
Installed Tomcat is powered by HeliconZooTomcatValve that creates hosts (websites) and context (apps) in Tomcat runtime automatically on first request from IIS.
However you can tweak server.xml as you want. It is located at C:\railo4\tomcat\conf\server.xml
It is description how Helicon Zoo and Tomcat coworks: http://goo.gl/D6t0Ek
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Ruslan, much appreciated.
I think I must have something set up incorrectly as the context doesn't update automatically. I add a new site and double check its properties. It's set up in IIS, folders exist. Doesn't appear in the context. I browse to the site and am served files from the previously mentioned ROOT folder. It's not until I add the site in server.xml that the actual site files appear.
Is this something that you could help with?

Re: Tomcat Hosting Package + Railo 4
Hello!
If you add a new site manually be sure that web.config contains Zoo module handler mappings.
Example of web.config: https://gist.github.com/rukeba/9364783
Another good way to create Railo 4 site in IIS is deploy Railo 4 Tomcat template (http://www.helicontech.com/zoo/gallery/ ... oject.html)
from Web Platform Installer and then copy your files inside.
Thanks.
